Our company has grown rapidly over the past 10 years and in order to successfully scale Capstone Realty Professionals will need to recruit an additional team player to help support the growing business.

Job Description:

Capstone Realty Professionals is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its dynamic and growing team. The Staff Accountant is responsible for the general accounting and financial reporting functions.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Process and prepare accounts receivable
  • Complete Security Deposit Accounting for resident move outs in accounting software
  • Maintain rent rolls and vacancy loss reports
  • Set up new owner accounts in Appfolio
  • Reconcile bank activity on a daily/weekly/monthly basis – 3-way reconciliation that is in compliance with ADOR regulations
  • Responsible for end of the year accounting, filing 1099 and sending 1099’s, etc
  • Answer accounting & statement questions for all clients
  • Responsible for monthly rental tax reporting and licensing with AZDOR
  • Responsible for timely payment to all vendors and agents
  • Pursue account collections for tenant, owner and vendor accounts in default
  • Alert property manager of tenant non-payments on a daily basis
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements
  • Be involved in annual budgeting process and input budgets into accounting software
  • Perform other duties as assigned and related to accounting needs


  • Two years of accounting experience, preference for experience within Property Management or Real Estate industry
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks Online required. Appfolio or other property management software a plus.
  • Highly reliable & Detail Oriented

Ability to:

  • Maintain strict confidentiality on restricted information, files, and records
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and vendors, communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Acquire a working knowledge of real estate and property management
  • Ability to pass a background check
